Mission, Formation & Spirituality

July - November, 2012

A Program intended for all (lay, religious and ordained) who seek to be at the service of God’s mission in the local Churches of Asia and Pacific region. It aims at a renewed mission formation and spirituality that reflects the freshness of life in the Spirit of Jesus, the model missioner and evangelizer. This Program seeks to invite adult participants to be engaged in a process of learning the ways of discipleship of our time and context. Specifically, it aims at a renewal:

* which is missionary engagement, taking up with renewed vigor and spirit the God’s mission, in creative interaction with the realities of our time;
* that respects tradition but is courageous enough to embrace a future that grows in creative fidelity to that tradition;
* that enables us to dare tell the story of Jesus and announce his gift of new life to the changing and globalized world;
* that must include, given our human condition, not only conversion of minds and hearts but also a conversion of structures in which those marginalized by society are given a wider participatory role.;
* that celebrates communion--in--diversity, giving witness to the wonder of the Church’s catholicity; (7th FABC Assembly)
